Hi friends of Music, I am recently here and I would like to tell you today about my experience at Gustavo Cerati's last concert, that May 15, 2010 at the Simon Bolivar University, Caracas, Venezuela. I had the joy of being that night at the university's soccer stadium, I could never even imagine what would happen that night, like everyone else, and I suppose he himself, what would happen that night. Soda Stereo marked a before and after in Latin American rock, I grew up with their songs, being them an essential part of the soundtrack of my life. So being able to see them was for me a dream come true.
night started with a lot of expectation and very good vibes, with that perfect weather that the city of Caracas has, a bearable and pleasant cold, at the right point. When Gustavo came out everything was perfect, in spite of his great talent and fame, there were not many people at the concert, I remember that there were many empty spaces in the campus that you could walk around. the live sound was better than I remembered from the records, much clearer, sharper, brighter.

Soda only played one song: te para tres one of my favorite songs, I could not be more pleased, I remember calling my brother on the phone during the concert so he could hear it, and I really had the feeling that I was listening to gustavo in the backyard of my house, like among friends, the atmosphere was very cozy, it was a very close feeling that was generated with the public.
friend who had seen him live before and other people I talked to that day told me that it was strange, that he wasn't particularly talkative at concerts, and I remember he was very talkative, he really interacted a lot with us between songs, I didn't know it, it was the first time I saw him live without knowing it was the last.

the concert ended everything was very normal, he finished everything and left the stage, a group of us stayed a while longer taking pictures, I only remember that we saw many vans arriving, we had no idea of what was really happening behind the stage, our Gustavo fell at the end of the concert and there began his way out of this world.
that day a genius of our generation was extinguished, every generation has a genius, I think he was one of those who should definitely be honored. I regret not being able to share my photos, the cell phone with which I took them was damaged and I could not recover them, so I only have my memory, as vivid as that May 15. You will always be great
