Release that should be highlighted separately, outside the traditional weekly digest of new music.
The band Go_A, the winners of the annual selection for the _ "Eurovision" contest _, which with their track "Nightingale" broke the musical space, presented a new song and played on it.
The song was called "SHUM". This translates as Noise. It comes from such an ancient game - "peletenyiy shum" ("wicker noise"), which is also a dance with a call to spring and the awakening of nature after winter.
The style is not too different from the band's previous work. It's all the same, the so-called folktronics. The combination of bagpipes and aggressive rhythms, reminiscent of dark techno, merge into a common crazy dynamic line.
"In 2021, this ancient tradition takes on a different meaning. During the lockdown and in full gear - we remind everyone and ourselves about the need for a person to be into society, to feel part of something bigger and not forget to rejoice.
Our new release is all about the integration of the archaic into the present..." - explain the musicians
The video for the song was shot in Kyiv in a historical place, on Mount Shchekavytsia. The video turned out to be very conceptual. Participants dressed in bio-protective overalls dance and sing against the fog, calling for a wake-up call and anticipation of spring.
This work is full of symbolism. The track calling for spring was presented on the day of the winter solstice - January 22. And in a day he collected, crazy, as for a not very well-known band, more than 50 thousand views a day. In addition, the hashtag #негнипатик, which the band fans inserted into their tweets by spreading the new song, lasted for several hours in the first place in the trends of the social network Twitter
It should be noted that the new track is not an application for "Eurovision", because according to the terms of the competition it does not fit into the duration.
