After my much needed mid year hiatus, I've revisited some of the old works in progress I shared with you boys and girls earlier in the year and came across this one called Music Box.
My music software has mostly been collecting dust as I've had a lot of things packed up, ready to move in to a new place but sadly that line of enquiry fell through. Simply, I just couldn't be bothered to unpack everything but hoping that I can get a new place finalised by the end of the year and move in at the beginning of 2022.
Once I've settled in, I'll be fully back in the swing of new music production and 2022, I'll be releasing new tunes left, right and centre!
Anyway, back to today's share and work in progress. It was actually a new virtual instrument (VST) that I found after having to reinstall my whole music software called Music Box that inspired this one.
The picture is actually from the VST and as you can see, it's a music box! When you play a few notes on the keyboard, those figurines start moving, it's pretty cool. You get all the clicking and clanking sound effects as well, which I am probably going to feature in the full track once I get back to it.
I couldn't isolate those clicking sounds from the instrument though so had to do a bit of digging in another virtual instrument to get something that sounded similar and in the second half of this clip, you can hear the spaced out, mysterious sounding synth playing which is what formed the basis of this one.
It should be a fun track once I get around to finishing, looking forward to seeing where this one goes!
Hope you are too!
