LinkTree
Yes, finally, after being badgered by a few of you and just speaking to (great to hear from you again man!), I set myself up a LinkTree page which is basically a one-stop shop for all the links to places I am sprinkled around! Here's how it looks - click the image to check it out for yourselves and bookmark if you wanted - I think these are the main sites I'm on that I've had some activity on in the last 6 months 😃
Emanate
Since I had an artist interview with new music streaming site Emanate, I've been slowly looking in to it more and am actually listening in to tunes on it now by filtering out using the little features at the top for "electronic" and "focus" seeing as I'm trying to focus on writing this blog haha! You can listen in to the tunes I've uploaded so far by clicking the image below
Personally, I'd like to have filters by genres as I kinda stick with liquid drum & bass and trance but can understand the whole mood thing. The website is still in alpha build so is effectively a streaming service for now but I can see the potential of this place, particularly after what happened with Choon, they reached out to affected artists when they didn't need to so instant respect there. Also haven't really battle tested the search box yet so will give that a go over the coming weeks I'm sure!
It seems to have backing by Deadmau5 with remix contests and some of his tunes are up on the platform which is great to see activity. The team have been through hell and back with me due to my Ledger Nano S issues haha (right ??)!
I'm looking forward to seeing how fans can benefit from using the site, whether they can earn for listening in and if there's going to be comments sections like with Soundcloud (deadcloud) for musicians and fans to interact with.
As a DJ too, I'd love to be able to make a liquid dnb DJ mix with artists from the platform and test out the streaming royalty smart contract system. This was something that was possible on musicoin but it gave me massive headaches with its clunky interface, not even sure that's still going, and Choon didn't allow DJ mixes at any point in its existence so fingers crossed it is an easy experience with Emanate.
I'm interested in hearing from you guys and girls about how you find using Emanate at the moment and if you have any things you'd like to see there?
Have a little play around and let me know!
Looking forward to the release tomorrow now though with ! Woo hoo! 😃
