"A man that's on the run is a dirty son of a gun!"
The classic club track from the late 90s called Son of a Gun by JX was one that wasn't expecting to remix but lo and behold, I was just playing around with some virtual instruments on my keyboard and suddenly, something sounded very familiar...
Hang on, this sounds like it could be a remix of JX - Son of a Gun! I went rummaging around for those really epic vocals and found it on an acapella site... it slotted right in!
Next task was to find a bassline that was "rewind" material but also complemented the melody on the first drop when the party really gets started!
It ended up being one of my most commented on tracks back in the day when I first uploaded it to Soundcloud and has since had over 100 downloads which is unreal!
The picture is one I took when I visited the Grand Sequoia National Park in USA back in 2014. These are truly giant trees and not too far off to the right of where this picture was taken, we saw a Black Bear scratching his back on one of the trees!
