Drug addiction, sexual harassment and beatings by classmates at school - the beginning of Chester Bennington's story was horrific. We probably wouldn't have known about this man's tragic past if he hadn't made his debut as a singer in the late nineties' Linkin Park. Chester committed suicide at his home on July 20, 2016. My father was a police officer and my mother was a nurse. At just 7 years old, the deformed human form was caught in front of Chester. He was sexually abused by an older friend. This is not the end of Chester's misfortune. At the age of 11, he got involved in the divorce of his parents. The nausea and loneliness of persecution, both seem to linger in Chester's life. In an interview with Metal Hammer Magazine, he said:
"My self-confidence goes to zero. I was very upset by the incident of persecution, I did not want to tell anyone about this incident. I was afraid people might think I was gay. It's the scariest thing in my life.
Chester also came in contact with drugs as a child. Opium, meth, cocaine and alcohol became his daily companions in a life without parents and friends. He was able to break free from drugs in 1992, although later in life this deadly addiction overwhelmed him again.Chester moved to Los Angeles from Arizona. It was here that he auditioned for a band, later renamed Linkin Park. The band's line-up is completed in the presence of Chester. His remarkable voice has made Linkin Park an enviable success. The new-metal band is betting on their first album, Hybrid Theory. Popular songs like 'Crawling', 'One Step Closer', 'In The End' and 'Papercut' are the crop of this album. The second album, Meteora, was released two years later. With a new album, they prove that Linkin Park is not a band of one or two hit songs. ‘Meteora’ captures listeners, solidifying their position in Linkin Park world music. When ‘Linkin Park’ was at its peak of success, Chester went back to drugs. Mike Shinoda, a member of the band, told The Guardian: When we went on concert tours, everyone in the band was either drunk or intoxicated. Chester quit drugs again in 2006. In an interview with Spin Magazine, he said, It is not a matter of bravery to take drugs, it is bravery to be able to give up drugs.
When Chester married at the age of 23, Linkin Park was not born. He married Samantha Olit in 1998. A son comes to their house. The couple broke up in 2005. The following year, Chester married Talinda Ann Bentley, with whom he has three children. They lived together until Chester's death.
In 2005, Chester started working in a separate band of his own, along with Linkin Park. The band's only album, Dead by Sunrise, has been released. "I was chatting with Mike Shinoda and Rob Borden at the Linkin Park studio. Chester Bennington has not yet arrived. He went out of the house to buy shoes. Come to the studio after the new shoes. I thought, maybe he won't come. After a while he appeared and gave a hue and cry, the joy of new shoes! I was silent even after Mike was introduced. Chester stabbed me in the stomach and said, "Sorry man, I needed the shoes.Just two months ago, another rock and roll legend, Chris Cornell, committed suicide. Chris Cornell, singer of the bands Soundgarden and Audioslave, was a close friend of Chester. Friend Chris Cornell was a huge inspiration in Chester's career. Chester repeatedly utters Chris' name with reverence. Readers will be surprised to know that Chester ended his life on Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. "Chester Bennington dies on his good friend Chris Cornell's birthday," CNN headlined. There are similarities between the types of suicides between Chris and Chester. Both committed suicide as a result of depression and drug addiction.
The slender body was regularly beaten by his classmates at Chester School. Defeated by despair, he tried to seek refuge in the song. Chester wanted to overcome his depression through art. How many knew that there was so much arrogance inside the rockstar that shook the stage in front of thousands of spectators in the stadium?
