Los Atoms
My friends have an original band called Matea Santa. They also put have a side project: a cover band called Los Atoms. Many cities are still closed for live #music events. This is the case in Guatemala City.
Today, however, we had an awesome opportunity to play a gig in front of an audience. I have to admit, it was a big out of the ordinary. We played in a blockchain-based virtual world in a small, but growing corner of the Metaverse. that's right. We did a little gig in front of an audience of avatars for #Emanate's 2nd anniversary party in Crypto Voxels. Check it out:
Here are some of the staff members. and
are at the venue before the party starts making sure everything is running smoothly. As you might be able to tell, the little avatars have wearable NFTs that someone from the community put together for the event.
There is still no absolute definition of what The Metaverse is, but I like to think of EVERYTHING interconnected: internet, telecommunications, medicine, IoT, biometrics, your car, your house, your videos, your music, the solar system... the gallaxy...
wrote his thoughts on this term in a post earlier today:

But back to music on Crypto Voxels. This is me trying to get my wearable onto the avatar. It takes a little bit of sizing and moving around, but it's not impossible to figure out.
Doors opened, and this happened:
Avatars everywhere! lol
Is this the future? is this the present?
I can't say for certain but I can tell you this: there are definitely opportunities for musicians to make #music (and money) outside of the local bar scene with gigs like this. Take your time; look around and you'll surely find an oportunity to earn some tokens doing what you love.
If you haven't checked out Emanate, I strongly encourage you to do so. If you're a music lover, there's tons on very talented artists to listen to on the platform; including some big names. If you're a musician, this platform pays not only per stream, it pays you every 6.25 seconds of streaming in real time.
These guys are really on their game:
They also recently put out a mobile app. It's easy to use, fast and it looks awesome if you ask me. This is me at the tattoo shop listening to "No Pain Whip" to get into the right mindset :)
Want to come hang out in Emanate's Discord community? I'll leave a link right here:
The recording and editing of this set was done by in our studio in Guatemala City.
