The real test of a musician is live performance. I started performing when I was 13 years old and being on stage at that age set me up. As many say, "Do it with passion or not at all".
The last time we had a live performance was on New Year's Eve at our street party. The energy and emotion from the crowd gives me immense fulfillment, a sort of a power because you carry the audience along. A live performance is so personal and real. The adrenaline from the people and that instant reaction from a live audience. But the first minute is crucial. If you go on stage with the wrong attitude or something on your performance is off, you can lose your connection with the crowd in the first minute. No live performance can ever be perfect, and that's what keeps you on your toes. It pushes you to practice harder.
