And the second entry into the beat battle...
This one was a bit different. While the first was guitar & bass-centric, the second round came with the task of flipping a sample - so kept everything 'in the box' for this one.
Given my first entry got a whopping zero votes, I tweaked my approach here. Amped up the "battle spirit" a bit, with the sample lending itself to an almost Rocky-ish champion anthem - and not having overcomplicated things with layered distortions on guitar, I was able to push this into the limiter harder to get the master louder.
And the result: a whopping zero votes. Ha.
So... my motivation for participating in any further "competitions" is kinda shot. (Thanks, fucking debilitated Mars in Cancer.) Nonetheless, the beat is still dope.
As to whether I release it any "official" capacity, time shall tell. In the meantime, here it is for your listening pleasure.
Make sure to listen on the best quality stereo/headphones you have access to for maximum impact, as there are alot of details that won't come through on a shitty phone or computer speaker.
