Hello! It's me and I hope that everyone was having a good Tuesday. Following through my first and second post this month on #threetunetuesday, which is a contest by ablaze to showcase 3 songs, I made a list of Christmas songs to be listened for this season and this will be the 3rd week of that. I'm not particularly attached with the season but since holidays are coming close, I'm gonna focus my post for songs related with the season and this week in particular was more intense so buckle up your headphones and enjoy.
Thousand Foot Krutch - Jingle Bell Rock
Before you get the idea, this was not a cover of the song from Bobby Helms. It was a completely different song which just got the same Jingle Bell Rock title from Thousand Foot Krutch for the album X Christmas which is a compilation of Christmas songs compiled by Bec Recordings. If I should say, this song was rather more true to its title than any other song. Both drums and guitars was really intense and fast and I always feel like jumping during the chorus.
Set it Off - This Christmass (I'll Burn it To The Ground)
If there was no AMV for Nightmare Before Christmas this should be a good one for that. The song started with Deck the halls intro with a man on his back and is wearing a Santa Claus costume but something was weird because instead of giving gifts, he was instead taking the gifts on the Christmas tree inside his back and as he turns around, we saw that he was wearing a skull mask and by that time the tone of the song changes and become sinister. It seems that for this guy, Christmas was his most hateful time of the year seeing how their wealthy neighbors brag of the gifts their receiving while mocking him for the cheap gift that he gets so what he did this time was to stole their gifts and replace it with snakes and insects and burn the Christmas tree outside the house. The first time I played this song was on my high school Christmas party which gives my classmates a confused look and asked me what they just hear and I say that it was a Christmas song.
Valley Of Chrome - Christmas In Our Darkened Hearts
If you're not familiar with the Philippine culture, people get started to get the Christmas vibes on the first day of September which make us the country with the longest Christmas season and every time that happens the first Christmas song people often heard was the song Christmas in Our Hearts by Jose Marie Chan that gives hope and peace but this cover by Valley of Chrome was the complete opposite. not only that the music was heavy and intense compared to the original's very light- hearted tone, lyrics also points out the negative aspects of Christmas that people tend to overlook.

And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. Thank you very much if you made it until the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.
See you until next time!
