Hail to the Hive!
Ok it’s Tuesday again and that means Three Tune Tuesday inspired by .
I have to admit I’m enjoying TTT alot. Was fun to see last Tuesday that there were some coincidences in what many would see as obscure music tastes being displayed with Fugazi 😁. Made me smile.
So this week I’m in a similar time period to last weeks Angry playlist as it set me off down the rabbit hole of adventure , memories and music. Back in 1992 I spent 8 months traveling around the US, driving and camping. I was 21 in full grunge mode and didn’t give one shit about next year as I was fully entrenched in the ‘now’
Me on the far left Channeling my inner Chris Cornell ( I wished)
So let’s begin with a band made up of members of Suicidal Tendencies, Janes Addiction & Metallica they blended gentres with a funky hard rock/metal vibe and more than a dash of humour. The tunes exuded fun and none more so that this one with the added dash of seasoning from none other than Ozzy! I adored driving around singing this down the interstate highway.
Possibly my favourite of all the ‘ grunge ‘ era bands was Soundgarden. I couldn’t get enough of this band and was happy to see them at Lollapalooza 92 in Cleveland with Red Hot Chilli Peppers ( nearly made this list) Pearl Jam and others. Was hard to choose between Jesus Christ Pose and this one but this was my fave while driving on this trip so it on the list….enjoy, stoml around your living room and play loud!
And can’t do a playlist without Motorhead can I? They keep you rooted in gritty noisy reality and this is a great tune when your blasting down the highway off to places unknown. And always remember turn it up to ELEVEN! You know it makes sense, the neighbors won’t mind 😉
Let me know what you thought Hive Peeps as I enjoyed stumbling across another Fugazi fan last week. I always enjoy the engagement so
