I've always been a fan of harmonies, that's one of the major things i look out for when listening to music, the harmonies and tunes of the song.
Harmony is the soul of the song and exactly what helps to move the listener.

It's something I've been looking out for since I was seven but something I actually, actively noticed just today because of this song.
JMSN's Love Me is a song that has gained widespread popularity due to its use in Tiktok and social media reels, truly something unexpected because it was made and released 2 years ago but has been silent till now.
The song speaks about need for attention and love despite one's original feel of unworthiness. The lyrics are nice, but it's the gospel chorus that's the real eye catcher, it's the chorus that's mainly used in the edits and when you listen to it, everyone knows why.
Let it Shine is a Disney Musical from 2012, back when Disney was Disney. not whatever crap kids are watching these days.
The typical Disney Musical went all out in the main Musical Number, the Big Finish, as some would refer it.
This show though being a gospel musical show went for less is more and created a core musical memory for me.
The standard Black American Gospel song is one filled with high drawn out notes and a danceable beat, made for you to dance and be moved.
Coco Jones voice was the perfect fit for this🥹✨
After spending a few minutes looking for another song I decided to settle with this. This is the original version of God only knows and to be honest I like it better (even though I just found it)
But for us to stay on theme, let's bring the choir version..
I remember this Netflix movie distinctly because of this scene, the song was beautiful and mashing it up with Awesome God is really inspirational✨
The main theme is black Gospel songs and this is a genre that is very powerful in music. It doesn't mean Christian songs, instead it's a style of music that somehow mixes jazz, soul and blues with any other matchup to give its own unique feel.
This makes the song something that can almost always be sung by a choir and it's something where the harmonies are everything.
My last tune explanation, I was trying to find a hip-hop rap song that was recorded live using a choir but I couldn't find one (and I know there are many).
What I did find though, was a choir cover of some of Kendrick Lamar Songs, in which most of them have the black Gospel style of singing.
Regardless, these are my tunes for three tunes Tuesday.
I wonder what you think about em ..
