¡Hola!
Hello! Happy holidays to all, in this month as beautiful as December, a month that marks the end of each year, the closing of cycles, but also allows us Christians to remember and celebrate our greatest festival: Christmas; and for that reason, today I have returned to the 134th edition of the Three Tune Tuesday initiative, by my friend
with two Christmas songs and another for the heart (and also the soul), and today I bring a visit: My dear and admired STING.
I have always listened to Sting, since he sang in The Police and later also, as a soloist. I admire his vocal quality, his ability to compose and also his performance on stage, although I have not had the great fortune to attend a live concert of his. Although his voice will not be a marvel, he modulates it and handles it extremely well, with a unique singularity and beauty, plus he was always very handsome, hahahahaha.
These Sting songs that I share with you today, I really like them, they move my soul and make me travel back in time in a bittersweet way, because sometimes the memories are beautiful, other times a little less so, but hey, they are my memories and my emotions, my Christmas, which I try to live every year in such a way that I don't forget the experience. That being said, let's see my songs today #ttt
Ahora vamos con mis canciones / Now let's go with my songs
I start with a great collaboration between Sting and Shaggy, one of the best Jamaican reggae performers; and here it is evident, since it is a version of a classic, which Sting retitled: "Silent Night (Christmas Is Coming)" , with that characteristic reggae rhythm. I really like the way they combine the voices, which take this song to a great level. Although this song is from 2019, it takes me back a long time, to the 90s, when I used to listen to a lot of reggae. Let's enjoy it!
Today's second song reminds me of my mom. I clearly remember that when the concert that Sting gave at Durham Cathedral in 2009 was broadcast on TV, I saw it with my mother. Mom has always been a very cultured person, with a wide musical taste, since she listens to everything from classical music to rancheras, and also music in English. She always tried to get me to listen to classical music, and she partially succeeded, but mine was something else, rock. Fortunately, my younger sister does like classical music, and was even a violinist in my country's Orchestra System. But well, returning to this beautiful melody, this is a traditional English song, which Sting performs wonderfully with his band. Here I leave the audio.
And closing today's trilogy, I bring you the song for the heart (and also the soul): Fields of Gold, which is one of those songs that hits you with everything in your heart, because to me, reminds me of beautiful times, a beautiful and torrid love, I can say that this song is part of the sound track of my life. I hope you like the video of this beautiful and melodic song.
