This one is called Infinite Dimensions. My handpan has a weird hijaz tuning to it so it forces me to play odd scales on any instrument accompanying it. Here I brought in my stratocaster plus and handsonic midi drum controller to craft a beat around the handpan.
This one is called The Void of Space. I started out playing the main handpan to a 6/8 timing metronome then added drums via midi and toontrack. In toontrack you can craft elaborate drum kits with high res samples. Once the drums were in place I added a bit more midi with my plastic midi guitar connected to a viola virtual instrument. Finally I added some ambient guitar tracks via my axe fx and G&L guitars. The overall result was an ambient sort of mysterious sounding mood.
This one is called The Sands of Time. I mostly used the handpan as a subtle background track to all the other instrument. The hijaz tuning on the handpan goes well with the tuning of the oud as it has many of the same notes FADGDF. Some of the other tracks include a goatskin tar, irish bones, an udu and my home made partsocaster.
