Long live #ttt ππΌ and #threetunetuesday
I love getting my inspiration from different places. Recently I was in a garden centre and saw these heather plants.
Normally you see heather on the moors with grouse nipping in and out or haggis running round in ever decreasing circles.
But the heather well it is a purple colour too, or you get white heather, it is deemed lucky!
But look at those colours .... Blue I love it!
Well I was looking for Christmas plants.
I got none but it has prompted me to post a ttt on Scottish Christmas songs!
Well today we having Scottish Christmas ttt part 1.
Deacon Blue - You'll Know It's Christmas
We kick off with You'll Know It's Christmas from those Glaswegian pop rockers Deacon Bluereleased in 2013.
Fun fact about Deacon Blue they took their name from the 1977 Steely Dan song "Deacon Blues"
Cocteau Twins - Frosty The Snowman
Not sure if you have this classic on your playlist or have heard it.
It was released Chistmas 1993 that is 30 years ago!
The Cocteau Twins are from Grangemouth in Scotland which was and still is the home to Scotlands biggest refinery owned and operated by Ineos.
If you see my beach posts I often put ships in there that are either coming or going up the Firth of Forth to Grangemouth.
Hammerblow news is that it is being closed in a couple of years.
Bay City Rollers starring Les McKeown -Rock'N'Roll Its Christmas Time
Back in the day the Bay City Rollers from PrestonpPans were quite the heart throbs and teen idols!
They were massive in the 70s and shouldhave earned millions but their recording company ripped them off.
Onetragedy after another befell them and their leadsinger from those teen idol years Les McKeown died in London during Covid and his funeral was only attended by 30 people.
I hope that you enjoyed these Scottish Christmas songs.
Which was your favourite (if any) ?
Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes πΆπ΅πΆ
Thanks for visiting and I wish you all a terrific rest of your Tuesday.
