Yesterday I was at work, it was a busy day (almost as usual lol) when my collegues asked me to come to the company-restaurant. They didn't told me the reason but of course I went. When I met them at the restaurant one of my collegues started a little speech, Because they appreciate my efforts so much, they felt it necessary to give me a present.
I was amazed that they had organized this, a warm feeling. I just didn't understand why, I do my job and they work just as hard and with just as much passion. But I was flattered. She handed me a present which I had to unpack right away. When I unpacked it and saw what was in it, I was really quiet for a moment. I got Matt Andersen's latest album on vinyl, signed by Matt. Wow, I was speechless. Such a cool and original gift from colleagues.
Like here on Hive, I talk a lot about music at work. A bit of the common thread through my life. That's how I often talked about Matt Andersen, and that's how they came up with the original idea to order this album. The first 100 copies were personally signed by Matt.
On Tuesday 15 November I will go to Matt, in Utrecht, together with my good friend Rien. Beautiful concert hall.
This clip was at Tivoli too, we were front-row. (next to the man who filmed it). Such a great song, and Matt is full of humor.
The last concert where we went was in Arnheim, got to get on the picture with him... What a humble and great guy.
