Welcome to my #TTT #ThreeTuneTuesday entry!
...And welcome to yet another celebration!
Today, on this Tuesday, I’m featuring another birthday celebrant. And this is already my 90th! In ten weeks’ time, I’ll see if I can put together a celebratory post!
First of all, thank you to for sparking my interest in sharing the birthday celebrant of the day here every week. It all started because I needed a reason to seek out other songs, other artists, and other musical styles I wasn’t familiar with—or that I simply hadn’t given their due attention.
For one reason or another, it’s always good to remember these birthday celebrants, as we’re always finding reasons for joy and for sharing great music. And all of this without the help of artificial intelligence... Hahaha Just a simple search on a regular internet search engine.
How has your week been? Here in Portugal, the weather has played a trick on all of us. Just as we were getting used to the mild weather, with temperatures already inviting us to take walks by the sea—and maybe even a dip in the ocean for the more adventurous—last Friday, a low-pressure system hit the Lisbon region and central Portugal, bringing periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms. Luckily, this happened mostly at night and in the early morning, which wasn’t bad at all, since it ended up lulling us to sleep, right? Hahaha
And you guys, are you already planning your trip for the next HF? It’s going to be in Barcelona! I’ve already had the chance to take a road trip with some of my college friends to that spectacular and energetic Spanish city. It was a trip full of adventure, where we got caught in the biggest snowstorm of the century. At the time, we rented a Ford Transit van and just hit the road... Of course, the snowstorm stopped us just as we were about to arrive, when we were passing through Lleida! Who knows, maybe one of these days I’ll try to find the photos we took back then and post them!
This week, I’m bringing you an artist born on May 12, 1945, in West London. This British keyboardist became known for his remarkable work in the musical projects “Small Faces” and “The Faces.”
He has also released solo albums, numbering about ten in total, with the last one coming out in 2008 under the title “Never Say Never.”
Although the band “Small Faces” has a sound that many of you would recognize, I wouldn’t be able to name them if I had to. But I must admit that I was very impressed by their highly original sound, with melodic guitar chords, simple beats, and a clean, clear voice. All the ingredients that this English rock band used to win over the audience.
I hope you enjoyed this post about yet another birthday boy!
