El Detroit es uno de los subgéneros del HipHop que con más fuerza vienen impactando en el panorama internacional y como nos tiene acostumbrado el HipHop donde llega muta bajo el influjo de las tendencias y la cultura local, en este caso no fue diferente.
Aunque ya habían algunas exploraciones dentro del género con artistas en su mayoría pertenecientes al under Cubano, en mi opinión el EP Cubantroit del artista Yomil es un parre aguas en el impacto del género en Cuba y la forma en la que se aborda.
Ya sea por la relevancia del artista dentro del panorama musical del país o por la forma en la que afronta el género. Si ya había nombres grandes como Chocolate MC que habían hecho temas dentro del género, Yomil va un paso más allá y saca todo un proyecto centrado en el mismo.
Además las manera en que afronta este reto es muy destacable, samples, interpolaciones, e incluso reinterpretaciones de antiguos éxitos, pero todo desde la óptica de la cubania introduciendo patrones de Reparto, regueton, incluso algo de la esencia de la timaba dentro del Detroit para crear algo completamente único a lo que nombra Cubantroit.
Yomil en especial siempre se caracterizó como artista or tener una visión muy particular sobre los géneros en los que interviene con una interpretación y un estilo muy reconocible. En el Detroit lo Offbeat es lo correcto por eso se hace súper interesante como alguien bien establecido en formas más clásicas fluye sobre una pista de este estilo, acomplandose a las características del género pero sin perder su esencia.
Así como ya en otras ocasiones se ha colocado como "la bandera" del trap o creando su propio género "trapton" que llego en su momento a ser lo más escuchado en Cuba, con esta nueva apuesta sirve de rompe hielos abriendo camino a futuras promesas que ven en este género su puerta al éxito o simplemente la forma expresiva qué necesitaban encontrar.

Detroit is one of the Hip Hop subgenres that has had the greatest impact on the international scene, and as we're used to, wherever Hip Hop arrives, it mutates under the influence of local trends and culture. This case was no different.
Although there had already been some explorations within the genre, mostly from the Cuban underground, in my opinion, Yomil's EP Cubantroit is a turning point in the genre's impact in Cuba and the way it is approached.
Whether it's due to the artist's relevance within the country's musical scene or the way he approaches the genre. While big names like Chocolate MC had already made tracks within the genre, Yomil goes a step further and releases an entire project centered on it.

In Detroit, offbeat is the key, which is why it's incredibly interesting how someone well-established in more classic forms flows over a track of this style, adapting to the characteristics of the genre but without losing its essence.
Just as he has previously positioned himself as the "flagship" of trap music or created his own "trapton" genre, which once became the most listened to in Cuba, with this new venture, he serves as an icebreaker, paving the way for future promises who see this genre as their gateway to success or simply as the expressive form they needed to find.
