As a boy child, I have lived my life from the child age to the time I began to live on my own without minding what is actually minimally keeping of dishware, the truth be told. A large number of women like to keep a large dishware in their kitchen, I can say this from my mother's point of view and that of her friends that live within our neighborhood.
I can still remember in those days when my mother used to buy cups, plates and spoons on each month, she used to buy them, immediately she received her monthly salary, and when she buy it, she wouldn't allow us to get closed to those items, she would keep some for the family used and take so many of those items into her room, lock the room and she alone was in charge of the room keys, that particular room was out of bounds, because she never wants us to make used of those Items, unless, they was a party, only then would she want us to go into the room and bring something out.
In our family i have never seen my mother keeping a large number of dishware in the kitchen, they one's we used were counted and to suits the certain number of people in the house at each time, and if a certain family member is to come back, that is when my mother would bring out a plate for that person.
And this her rule pertaining to those plates was not something that my father was in support, I remember he used to tell her to brings a lot of those plates and spoon's out, and not to bring them one by one when we have a visitor or whatever, but as his beloved wife, my mother only response to him that she will do just that, but on the other hand, she wouldn't do anything like that, and to us her children's, it was a thing we lived with, and up till now, I do not find it so nice to have so many dishware in my kitchen due to the way i was raised.
Before I didn't know who was my mother and on what ground she set her life to be, but right now, I think I do not need anyone to tell me what she believe in, because i can see that my mother do not adhere to a lifestyle of keeping things litter everywhere on her kitchen and even now she never keep things in her kitchen that way, she wants her things to follow in accordance, a good line of actions that wouldn't consume space in the kitchen.
Right now in my apartment, I do not keep thing's like plates, cups and spoons anyhow either, immediately, I am done cooking I make sure to wash my plates, that's, those ones I know i will not used in the dining as at that time, I wash them as soon as possible, and I take them to the appropriate place it belongs to.
Buying of plates like my mom used to do when I was a kid is not a thing I do in my apartment, I don't buy plates, cups and spoons as usual but i used the one I have already, and I make sure to wash them appropriately after used, because what makes plate to become trash sooner is when the user refuse to wash it immediately after used.
In general, I keep few plates in my kitchen and the few one's I have, my love for them are so much because I do not joke with them, after I have wash and clean them, I placed them in a nice corner to avoid crack, because if it's ever break, the amount of love I have put into them might make me to cry.
