It's the Holiday Season. In a few days, we will be celebrating Christmas. I see this time as a time when we should be more selfless. It's not a time to think about ourselves totally but more about others around us. Especially people we know will be needing our help.
This is a time when everyone should have smiles on their faces irrespective of their social status. Some people will be lonely during this time as they will have lost their loved ones. So why not invite them over so everyone can celebrate together? But we should try to cut down costs so as not to fall into debt. We won't want to to be starting the new year paying off debts.
So I thought of what I can share with people around me was giving them lots of vegetables from my mini garden, there are some families around me that I know would be able to use it in preparing soup for their children. If I could, I would add some cash so that they can get other things required in making vegetable soup for their families. I know of many people I could give and I am glad I have enough vegetables in my garden.
Another thing I planned to do was to get some orange drinks and share it with some families around me but due to some financial constraints, I decided to opt for oranges instead.
There is an orange seller not too far from my place and I promised to buy the oranges I need from her only if they are sweet 😀😀😀 because I won't want to be sharing sour oranges on Christmas. The trader assured me she sells the best so I got some in advance for myself as a "taste".
Getting enough of these oranges will not only save costs but will go around more families especially those with little children. So I will be getting the oranges instead of the juice.
I would also be inviting some people to come celebrate with me in my home. I don't have much but the little I have, I love for it to reach as many people as possible.
This isn't to say that we should wait till the festive seasons before we help people around us rather this should serve as a continuation of what we do for other people.
Thank you all for visiting and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas In Advance.
