Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 37 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2023, my fourth year there. I hope you find them interesting!

Week 42, 2023: Fashion / Moda
Mabe has been a friend of mine for 4 years. Her parents took her on one of our safaris once and she has posed for me several times since, so I asked her to do it one more time for the "fashion" challenge. I hope his youthful pose and clothes have something related to the theme.
I retouched the skin and painted her lips, as well as filling in the parts of the background that I thought were appropriate. One light points to the background panel and the main one points towards my model.
Mabe es amiga mía desde hace 4 años. Sus padres la llevaron una vez a uno de nuestros safaris y desde entonces ha posado para mí varias veces, así que le pedí que lo hiciera una vez más para el desafío de "moda". Espero que su pose y ropa juvenil tengan algo relacionado con el tema.
Retoqué la piel y pinté sus labios, además de rellenar las partes del fondo que creí oportunas. Una luz apunta al panel de fondo y la principal hacia mi modelo.
Week 43, 2023: Use a tripod / Usa un trípode
The tower was completed in 1646 to prevent the enemies from obtaining fresh water from the Almendares River that flows here. The building looked suitable for a night photograph. Currently it is a kind of restaurant/bar, and many people gather there to cool off on Caribbean nights. I should come back even sooner to capture some of the evening sky.
La torre fue terminada en 1646 para impedir que los enemigos obtuvieran agua dulce del río Almendares que aquí desemboca. El edificio parecía adecuado para una fotografía nocturna. Actualmente es una especie de restaurante/bar, y allí se reúne mucha gente para refrescarse en las noches caribeñas. Debería regresar incluso antes para capturar algo del cielo del atardecer.
Week 44, 2023: Inspired by a famous photographer / Inspirado en un fotógrafo famoso
I was inspired by Chema Madoz on a previous occasion for this same challenge, this time I did it again and next year I will revisit it. This photographer is simply great in his photographs and in his messages. He uses very few resources and I can find some recurring elements of his work in my own kitchen. "Untitled" from 2003 is one of those great pieces, in my opinion. You can search their name in various catalogs at https://issuu.com
A spoon held at one end with curious counterweights, the remote flash on one side, the camera shooting with a stopwatch three times in sequence so you can hold the fork by the tips and try different heights each time.
Me inspiré en Chema Madoz en una ocasión anterior para este mismo reto, esta vez lo volví a hacer y el año que viene lo revisitaré. Este fotógrafo es sencillamente genial en sus fotografías y en sus mensajes. Utiliza muy pocos recursos y puedo encontrar algunos elementos recurrentes de su trabajo en mi propia cocina. Una cuchara sujeta en un extremo con curiosos contrapesos, el flash remoto en un lado, la cámara disparando con un cronómetro tres veces en secuencia para poder sujetar el tenedor por las puntas y probar diferentes alturas cada vez.
Week 45, 2023: Bokeh / Desenfoque
A margarita glass containing a secret liquid and a lemon tip. Some Christmas lights on a black background cloth about 5 feet further back. The remote flash points at the glass to highlight the citrus, which is where I put the focus. A little final editing, just darken the surface where the glass is a little more and that's it.
Una copa de margarita que contiene un líquido secreto y una punta de limón. Algunas luces navideñas sobre una tela de fondo negro a unos 5 pies más atrás. El flash remoto apunta a la copa para resaltar el cítrico, que es donde pongo el foco. Un poco de edición final, solo oscurecer un poco más la superficie donde está el vidrio y listo.
Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
