The summer has been quite generous to us lately. Although we're already almost in mid-autumn, according to the calendar, we have temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius almost daily. During midday, it feels like late summer here, but the evenings are a bit chilly.
Autumn last year "blessed us" with a lot of rain, if my memory serves me correctly. This time is different, so we had a barbecue this afternoon. Nothing fancy, though...
It was just me and a couple of friends gathering at a friend's house and throwing a BBQ in his backyard, and as usual, we cooked too much meat... I don't know why, but we always have leftovers after a BBQ in this part of the world.
We smoked that guy's grapes really bad...
But first, we started by cleaning the barbecue and what we call "the disc" on which we cooked the potatoes. Once the chef had a few good glasses of wine and the fire was ready, it was time for fun.
As mentioned earlier, in the past, we didn't have anything fancy on the menu. Some pork, a few "mici" (a sort of dick-shaped meatballs), and some fish... Unfortunately, we didn't get as far as cooking the fish because we ended up filling our stomachs with the "mici" and the pork.
My friend's house is still in a state of renovation; he inherited it from his grandparents. It was built in 1936, and some portions of it look like a warzone... No puns intended...
I did find quite a few photography subjects over there and showed my friend that you can create art with very little, even if it's just smartphone photography. I haven't posted any proper autumn photos, so I guess I could call this one proper.
Kind of... Sort of...
On a more serious note, it seems that the Israel-Gaza conflict is expanding and getting serious. Tourists are being taken hostage, and hundreds of deaths have been recorded on both sides. What seemed like an overnight fight might grow into something bigger.
As I wrote in my morning post, I believe there's an agenda behind this conflict, and as usual, the innocent ones have to pay for it. We're living in some really messed-up times, I tell you that...
Anyway, I hope everyone here had a great Sunday today, and I hope that the aforementioned conflict does not escalate into a full-blown war. I'm heading out now, but I really wanted to share these photos with you guys (haven't posted many photos lately).
I wish you all a great day/evening ahead and see you next time.
PS: My hair smells like smoke, my clothes smell like smoke, but I ain't high :).
Thanks for your attention.
