Hello peeps!
It's been a while since I made a real photography post, but some weeks ago I found some old photos I had totally forgotten I had on my Mega account, very precious photos I thought I had lost the last time my laptop got fucked up; these were very precious as they were some of the few photos I consider are decent and about my favorite thing to shot: SUNSETS! 🌅
Finding these old 2016 photos really made my day, not only I was recovering some of my best sunset shots ever but also precious photos of me and my cousin whose this wednesday marriage has me eye-tearing everytime I think of it since December, and the best part of this is that I made decent edits of this shots thanks to a practical short photoedition course I did at the start of the quarantine that improved A LOT my edition skills, so I'm glad I found these old photos when my edition skills just got better.
On January 6th 2016 my family and I went to Amuay beach, as we traditionally did on the first days of every January. Amuay beach is a natural bay in the fishing town of Amuay in the Paraguaná Peninsula, a word that in caquetÃo (this region's indigenous natives language) means Place where water and winds meet, as I said in older posts Paraguaná is known to be a very windy place.
I would never forget everytime we went to the beach we had to deal with the cold caused by the wind hitting on us after getting out of the water lol especially if we went to Villa Marina beach where, for some reason, the water is always cold. However, the best part of this tradition was, for me, watching the sun set in the sea; I think this is the reason why I've been always grateful for living in the west coast side.
We had a nice day that January 6th, but there's also another thing I found which had me really surprised, and this was that my dear cousin is getting married on the exact same date. I never imagined (and I guess she didn't either) she would be getting married exactly 5 years later, I guess this is just another proof of how many turns life can have right? Even how surprising can it be and how different everything could be in so little time. Right?
I remember none of us swimmed that day, we didn't feel like getting into the water so we just sat in the sand, played with it and chatted while I was taking these shots.
And as the sun started to set the sunlight reflections just got brighter. ✨
Me, doing what I like the most lol
Now have a seat and watch the sunset with me...
I've been missing the beach so much lately, but I guess I not only miss these waters but somehow miss sharing it with loved ones. Hopefully I'll go to the sea again either on January or whatever month, and stay there till I watch the sun set in the sea one more time.
Thank you very much if you got here, please let me know what you think of these shots! :)
