A Wedding Story Through My Lens
As a passionate photographer, weddings are some of my favourite events to capture, I find myself so drawn to the raw emotions and genuine moments that unfold during weddings. The photos I am going to share today are from one of my favourite weddings I had the privilege to document.
One of my favourite moments of the day was when the brides grandmother presented her with a necklace, a cherished heirloom to be her "something old." The exchange was so raw and beautiful that I hid myself in the bushes as not to ruin the genuine moment between them but desperately wanting to capture this moment in time for the bride to keep forever.

This was the moment right after the ceremony and the "I do`s" where the bride was signing the marriage documents next to her now husband. I just love the focus on the delicate flowers in her bouquet.
The brides portrait
This was right before her big walk down the aisle where I had the chance to take some portraits of just the bride. Her excitement and nervousness were palpable making for a beautiful moment frozen in time.
The radiance of newlywedsFollowing the ceremony I captured the gorgeous couple admits the flowers. Their joy at finally being wed was evident in their smiles.
Details of love
Some close up photos of the small details of a wedding day that bring everything together. The brides freshly done manicure, shiny new rings on hands intertwined in love, A gorgeously detailed tie that brings together the suit and the buttonhole. Every detail spoke to the care that was taken into putting together this day of love.
Unexpected beauty The brides shoe peeking out from beneath her gown against the concrete floor and surrounding greenery created such a striking contrast. A symbol of stepping into her new life as a wife.
Innocence and Joy The flower girl embodied innocence and joy as she fulfilled her role in the ceremony, spreading not only flower petals but also many smiles and pure joy. Her presence added so much sweetness to the wedding day. I love this photo of her surrounded by petals.
Love framed by nature This was perhaps my favourite moment captured of the whole day, the couple sat in the window of a dilapidated building framed with greenery and red flowers. They gazed lovingly into each others eyes, oblivious to the world around them. It was a moment of intimacy and connection, encapsulating the essence of their love.
Every photograph I took at this wedding tells a story. Each image is a testament to the beauty found in genuine, unscripted moments. As a documentary-style photographer, I strive to capture these fleeting instances that reveal true emotions and personalities of the people in my photos.
