You can tell the holidays are approaching by the festive atmosphere that hovers in the air on the streets of Belgrade. Christmas decorations are set in place, the shops are attracting customers in with shiny things and discounts and the music, performed by buskers, echoes through the center.
It's always a very cheerful vibe this time of year despite the cold weather. The time when people forget about their problems just for a few brief moments. I normally don't enjoy New Year's eve and all the hype that goes into that one night, I never was a party person. But this extended holiday atmosphere I can get on board with. It's like those beloved, classic Christmas movies coming to life.
Today's short walk was an interesting one, I captured some nice moments and missed few opportunities by rookie mistakes. Auto-focus on my X-Pro2 and 35mm lens doesn't always snap quickly on the subject and the moment has passed, the photograph ruined. Let me walk you through the photographs.
Waiting for the owner in front of the shopping center.
Belgrade is full of tourists during this time of year.
These boxes turned out to be really heavy, the girl needed to take a break.
Just an example of unintentionally missed focus. I did grab another one with this interesting couple.
Students having "dramatic" conversations.
I absolutely loved her outfit, perfect for street photography. I wanted to get close and make another one but she was going too fast.
Last one in front of the bookstore, before I decided to turn around and not bother her anymore. :D
What an unusual bunch. There was something very interesting on the wall that the lady wanted to capture.
Returned with some equipment for a better access.
I had to sneak a peak to see what attracted her. :)
Autumn vibes in front of the national bank.
Lovely bookstore with great selection of classics, and it looks so pretty.
Deep in thought.
Cute outfit.
Love the stuffed bears on the roof.
This reflection came out quite nicely. Love the contrast of warm and cool tones.
I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time. :)
