It's been a while, Hivers! I've been quite busy last few weeks and didn't get to shoot much. Then last week snow surprised one early morning and you know what that means - I had to leave everything else and grab my camera. It was my usual spot, Kalemegdan park, which is always beautiful covered in snow.
Similar conditions as in my previous shoot, but in street photography you always get something new. You can visit the same place every day and still get unexpected moments that make the photo unique.
The landscape is in full contrast - the white snow blanket against the dark trees and forest walls. It creates almost black and white images if it wasn't for the blue coolness of the winter. I use the dark elements to measure the balance in the composition. With such white background it's good to distribute the weight evenly across the image. And then I put subject in between these frames.
Unfortunately from street photography point of view, this early in the morning on a cold day there isn't many people around. It's good on the other hand cause you have time for yourself to enjoy beautiful, peaceful scenery. The walk felt so good. My only companions in these moments are dogs and their owners. Snowflakes and white cover make the dogs so excited, running around.
We were in the heart of Belgrade, yet the sounds of the city were silenced out. A quiet Sunday morning for a mindful walk. Photos taken with Fuji X-Pro2 + 35mm F/2 lens.
