Hello again, Hivers! November has given us cold, gloomy days here in Belgrade with particularly foggy mornings. Air pollution is off the charts here in this time of year due to unregulated factories and who knows what else. It brings with it a cloak of mist in the mornings and evenings which is the only good side of it, cause it enhances the mood in the photos. However, I would much prefer healthy air to breathe when outside over pretty photos anytime.
But let's use the conditions we have and make the best of it as I'm not the one to hide in the house. This morning I walked out of the door and didn't have a clear direction where I want to go and as I approached the city, I decided to visit the Kalemegdan fortress, do my morning Qi Gong practice and then take a short walk.
The park and the fortress are very beautiful in the mist. Many trees in the background are giving depth to images - ones in the foreground are more prominent and dark, while the rest gradually fade away in the distance. Fallen leaves cover the ground in beautiful brown and yellow colors and nicely compliment the still hanging dark leaves above.
This early in the morning, on a cold hazy day, it was only me and people walking dogs in the park. As you can see from the photos. That's perfect for me - enough subjects passing through so I don't have to wait around or miss good opportunities because there's no one around, but yet not too crowded.
I make sure to position myself so that the trees in the distance are nicely balanced and separated and not on top of each other. Subjects fit in the frame nicely as they walk along the path and in-between the trees. Hope you like the photos. Taken with Fuji X-Pro2 and 35mm F/2 lens.
