Today I want to share some macro shots I got at different locations some time ago while hunting for insects in the forest.
The first photo is of the robber fly, or a species of insect from the Asilidae family. Robber fly has several species with different color displays. And what I found today has a dominant color characteristic of dark yellow or slightly brownish.
Then in the second photo are grasshoppers or insects from the Orthoptera order belonging to the Acrididae family. These insects usually inhabit bush areas that have fresh grass, and are also found on the outskirts of rice fields.
Then in the last photo is a hoverfly species with the scientific name Ocyptamus from the Syrphidae family. As we know, the hoverfly species is very synonymous with flower plants. Wherever there are flowers, we can find hoverfly species.
