I haven't heard a lot about Montenegro, before we came here. A year ago I didn't even know that it exists ^^
Now after five month in this beautiful little country, it almost feels like home and I can't believe, that Montenegro ever hasn't been part of my life.
Today I want to share some photos I took on a trip to the great Lake Skadar, which sits right on the border to Albania in the South East of the country.
The lake itself is really huge, I've never seen a lake like this, which looks more like an ocean ^^
But what I found more interesting is the landscape around it and the little islands and the big river Moraca, coming from the northern mountains, which meanders around the hills before it finally flows into the big lake.
We heard that usually during summer, there are lots and lots of tourists visiting this area, so many, that it's really hard and annoying to drive your car on the narrow roads.
But in these crazy times we live in at the moment, we were almost the only ones, which was kind of nice. But at the same time it made me sad to see that the little cafes, restaurants and campsites were all empty.
I hope you're all doing well. We will be in Montenegro for a few more weeks to see some friends and family, but we are already looking forward to see, where the universe leads us next :-)
