These are some pictures I shot during my last stay in Portugal.
I have written about why I was there and what I did there in one of my previous posts. If you are interested, you can read about that here :-)
I haven't seen all of Portugal, most of the time I have been at the atlantic coast of the Alentejo region.
These are pictures I took on one of the countless beautiful bays you can find in between the bold cliffs.
Those beaches are not really good for swimming, because the sea is very wild there.
But you can go hiking along the coast. But I didn't, because it goes up the cliff and then down to the beach and then up again ... and I'm not really a trained hiker ^^
I love that part of Portugal.
You can feel so much energy from the rough sea and the wind, it's amazing!
When you walk along the beach you can find a lot of caves in the rock.
These shady places are great when the sun is burning and you want to rest for a while.
Really important about that region of Portugal is their Medronho. This is a schnapps, the Portughese make from the small red fruits of so called "strawberry tree".
It's quite strong usually, but you can heat it up a little and put in some honey and it will be delicious! :-)
This is also my entry for the Photophile Photography Contest: Travel Thursday #9 :-)
