Brian is a Cuban man living in cold and distant Finland. He's happy there because he got married and founded his own family. But this summer he decided to travel to his hometown Havana, Cuba and here I had the pleasure of being his choice photographer for a session that I'll remember for a long time. This because it wasn't no ordinary photoshoot since he's not only a good Cuban, but also a dancer and singer and he came with a lot of energy to enjoy this day. So we met on another hot Caribbean morning in Havana's historic downtown area.
As you can see in the photos above, our first stop was at the “Bodeguita del Medio”, the most famous bar and restaurant in Cuba because of its age, but also because it's where the world famous Mojito was created. There's always a small band playing traditional Cuban music and it was enough to awaken my model's art of dancing and singing.
Next, we continued walking through the streets of the old city and it happened to be extremely gratifying being able to take these photos in poses that I'd never have thought of. Of course, all thanks to Brian's skills and experience. In the following pictures below, he began singing old traditional songs at a loud voice, a performance that went so perfect that many people walking around us had to stop by our side.
To finish, we took some shots in the San Francisco de Asís square and from there we left with that image that's a must and already a classic of this city, the one along with the colorful classic cars.
