The first thing this happy newlywed couple asked me was if I had no problem photographing a gay couple. I answered immediately without any doubt, that I have no prejudice whatsoever and that everyone is free to choose their sexuality. Those were the magic words that opened the doors to this new photoshoot we did in the so-called "Quinta de los Molinos", a protected natural area in the middle of the city of Havana. This match has been made possible by the recent approval of a new law that allows equal marriage... that is, the legal union between people of the same sex. Many couples in this condition quickly took advantage of the new possibilities and have formalized marriages, with the resulting opportunity for us photographers to be able to undertake new projects.
