All people love the land where they were born and the symbols that represent it. One of those is the national flag of each country, but in the case of Cuba, in addition to that natural patriotic love that we all have, we're also privileged to have one of the most beautifully designed and colorful flags in the world.
It was created in 1849 by Miguel Teurbe Tolón, a Cuban writer and professor, to be later adopted by the Constituent Assembly of Guáimaro in 1869 and later as the official national ensign in 1902, once the country was liberated from Spanish colonialism.
