Today I'm going to show you one of the images I took using a macro photography technique.
on this occasion I will show you one type of caterpillar that turns into a cocoon or also known as a pupa.
The cocoon is one of the stages of insect life that undergoes metamorphosis. This phase is only found in insects that undergo complete metamorphosis, which includes four stages; embryo, larva, pupa, and adult or butterfly.
Butterflies have or go through 4 stages of phases before becoming an adult butterfly that we often see.
Starting with eggs
The egg is the smallest form of a butterfly when it is born. Female butterflies usually lay their eggs on the underside of plant leaves to avoid predators and make it easier for the mother butterfly to monitor it.
Become a caterpillar
then, once the egg hatches, it will turn into a caterpillar or larva. Caterpillars have different colors and sizes, depending on the parent and type
Forms cocoons or pupae
at this stage, the adult caterpillar turns into a shell or shell made of natural thread containing silk.
