There are small details in nature that easily go unnoticed when we walk in a hurry. One of them is often found at the tip of a branch, with buds that discreetly announce the arrival of flowers. In the two photographs, the eye focuses precisely on this point of the branch where several small buds are forming, still closed, compact, almost shy, like the photographs published in the previous post.
At first glance, it may seem like just a set of small lilac protuberances. However, upon closer observation, one realizes that this is a very specific moment in the plant's cycle. The buds are formed, firm, with a slightly rough and delicate texture at the same time. They haven't opened yet, but they are no longer just an initial sign of growth. They are in that intermediate phase where transformation is near, considering the mature color.

En las dos fotografías, la mirada se centra precisamente en este punto de la rama donde se forman varios brotes pequeños, aún cerrados, compactos, casi tímidos, como las fotografías publicadas en la entrada anterior.
A primera vista, puede parecer simplemente un conjunto de pequeñas protuberancias lilas. Sin embargo, al observarlos con más atención, uno se da cuenta de que este es un momento muy específico del ciclo de la planta. Los brotes se han formado, firmes, con una textura ligeramente rugosa y delicada a la vez. Aún no se han abierto, pero ya no son solo un signo inicial de crecimiento. Se encuentran en esa fase intermedia donde la transformación está cerca, considerando el color maduro.
The two images show the same branch from slightly different angles. This small change in perspective alters how the buds are visually organized. In one of the images, the sequence of buds along the branch's tip is more clearly visible; in the other, the curvature of the branch itself is more evident, creating a natural line that leads the eye to the buds.
Light also plays an important role. By gently falling on the still-closed buds, it reveals small variations in the surface and tones of the still-young bark. It's not a dramatic light, but rather a soft presence that helps define contours and volumes.
Perhaps that's precisely what these photographs seek to highlight, not the final result, but the preceding moment. A small set of buds, discreet and silent, indicating that nature is gradually preparing for the next step.

En una de las imágenes, la secuencia de brotes a lo largo de la punta de la rama es más claramente visible; en la otra, la curvatura de la propia rama es más evidente, creando una línea natural que guía la mirada hacia los brotes.
La luz también juega un papel importante. Al caer suavemente sobre los brotes aún cerrados, revela pequeñas variaciones en la superficie y los tonos de la corteza aún joven. No es una luz dramática, sino una presencia suave que ayuda a definir contornos y volúmenes.
