Happy Sunday! Today I took a little time off to edit the photographs I took from last week of a plant, which I learnt today that it's called a Red Button Ginger (thanks to image search). It's in abundance at my department in the university I attend. I've always wondered what it's called. So I took my camera along with me to school on a sunny day. On a closer Inspection I noticed that it looked like it had bunny ears, which I found really cute.
From what I've learnt so far, it grows up to 3 to 4 feet tall, and apparently can be eaten? They are also medicinal. I noticed they tend to attract a number of insects, on a closer look, you should be able to find them in the photos.
Here's a dried up Red Button Ginger, it's a huge change from its beautiful red color. I guess all good things come to an end someday, only to come alive again in another way or form.
They've got such beautiful leaves too!
After taking the pictures of the plants, I noticed there were a lot more Cattle Egrets present than normal. I walked over slowly to one, and I must say, I was pretty surprised when it didn't fly away, it just kept staring at me. But I was happy to have gotten a good shot of it.
