Hello friends,
Our Christmas Eve this year was different than any other years. Our friends invited us to their son’s birthday party at the ice skating place.
Well to be honest we became friends through our sons. They both were new kids when they started preK, and that helped them to become friends because you know, when new kids come to school it might be hard to become friends with the old students. So being new kids helped both of them to get to know each other.
Right now they are in different schools, we are both from different cultures and different countries and that also helped us to be more patient and understanding. It’s funny that whenever we text each other there are some miscommunications but we don’t get frustrated because there are some differences in the way we communicate or react to things.
It was a really good party. We’ve been ice-skating for four hours and my kids even got better at it. They stopped using seals that are used to support the beginner level skaters. They were skating with me holding my hands. At the end they were doing it by themselves and I was so proud of them. It also makes me happy to realize that I helped them to learn how to ice -skate.
The birthday boy’s Grandpa dressed as a Santa and gave the kids their goodie bags and we took a lot of pictures. I don’t post them because of the privacy reasons. That’s why I have the Christmas decoration pictures instead.
All in all it was a great time together. Kids haven’t seen each other for about a year. So they had a lot of fun. I’m so thankful for this family, our friendship, this opportunity to spent together our Christmas Eve .
