This is the first monument to Alexander in the capital, opened in 2014. Another monument is located in the city of Taganrog. One bas-relief depicts the Emperor riding a horse into Paris in 1814.
On the other, the so-called "battle of the peoples" (Russia, Austria, Prussia and Sweden) near Leipzig in 1813.
The decision to erect the monument was made 200 years ago, but Alexander himself then refused it.
