Hello, my friends, photo lovers.
Autumn is the time to fill your cellars with supplies for the winter.
The better we can prepare for winter, the easier we will be able to bear all its hardships and tribulations.
Today I want to share photos of the food storage area of an ancient medieval castle that I happened to visit.
Taking photos in basements is not the easiest thing to do. But I didn't want to turn on the flash either. Therefore, I had to catch good places when I had the opportunity to use local lighting.
And of course, the most important stocks are drinks. You can live without food for quite a long time, but without alcohol - in no way))

Therefore, the bins must be equipped with special shelves for storing wine bottles. And these shelves must be correct, because the bottle must be stored in a horizontal position so that the wine washes the cork and it does not dry out.

And what could be stored in such barrels? Most likely beer, or maybe future cognac was aged in them?
There is an equipped place for the servants, who could have a snack while the owners were feasting in the upper halls of the castle.
The table decoration is very modest: wooden dishes, no cutlery and glass.

And here we see kitchen utensils for cooking on fire. Lots of copper kettles and pots. There are also wicker baskets at the bottom.

The steep staircase at the exit seems to be the road from the underworld to ordinary human life. At the end, the light is visible and it pleases us))
