In my being, the love for cats is something I can't explain.
A black beauty, a queen that came to my house when she was 44 days old. I was looking for a black cat to identify myself with and she came to me, Cata.
I have a very strong connection with Cata, she always knows what happens to me and she is my great confidant.
She is a cross between a black cat and a Siamese cat, she travelled with me on the trip from Argentina to Spain. She was my strength during the time I was completely alone here.
A faithful companion and my great protector.
Black cats are my fascination, perhaps because of the relationship they have with the unknown, mystery and wisdom.
I love to admire her up close, to see the details of her fur, her eyes, her nose.
When she sleeps she sometimes dreams and I always wonder what she dreams about.
I love to take pictures of her, and she knows that, she is very attentive, so she comes to the phone and moves around a lot.
Taking pictures of her is an odyssey, because they all come out blurry, she wants to know every moment what I'm doing and she's very curious. She follows me everywhere, so capturing her in a still picture is an impossible mission.
Yesterday while I was writing she sat in her armchair, special for her, facing the window.
I took a cushion and very gently approached her, but without looking at her, I really wanted to photograph her.
She is almost 12 years old and has grey hairs, among all her beautiful, black and shiny fur, they are already very noticeable. But she is still the playful cat she has always been.
She doesn't look as old as she is probably because of good care and good nutrition, the latter is essential.
Even so, her coat and her eyes show her age, but her spirit does not.
My queen, as I always call her, loves to play and on this occasion I stayed by her side in the hope that she would not see the phone.
When she would distance herself I took pictures of her in different directions, poses and approaches to her gaze.
She is always alert to every little noise in the house, she seems to be sleeping and then suddenly raises her head to see what is going on.
Being half Siamese, her features are beautiful, I always look at them and admire.
She is talkative and doesn't like to be alone, no matter where I am, she will be with me.
She often looks at me and we look into each other's eyes, as if we understand each other.
When I look out of the window she is serious and her pupils change shape, I love to see that transformation.
The photographs close to her make me see her details, the beauty of the feline breed I have always admired.
Her bright yellow eyes are two stars that I always like to see, they are always looking for me. The light reflects in her pupils in a beautiful way.
I love to follow with my camera phone her gaze and how attentive she is, as well as the moments when her eyes are at rest.
Capturing the texture of her fur and possible gestures is fascinating to me, I love her dearly and admire her.
I took more than 40 pictures, but as you will see I had to select only a few, she was moving a lot, but she is so beautiful that it is worth it, to wait and wait for her poses, looks and gestures.
It is a pleasure and satisfaction for me to bring her here and show her beauty, well for me who am the mother, she is very beautiful.
Thank you very much to all of you, I wish you a good Sunday and see you next time.
Amonet.
