I am passionate about lighthouses, I find them striking. They are the light, the eyes of the ships, but not only that.
At night they are the light that twinkles in the darkness, as if it were a star.
Between the clouds they seem to want to reach the sky and fly among them.
This lighthouse is one of the few in Spain that has a feminine name, it is called La Farola.
It is not very tall, but it is beautiful and is located at the end of a promenade that bears its name.
Seen from afar it is marvellous, and I tried to make it the protagonist in this photo session.
I was a boat spotting it in the distance and admiring its beauty, I let myself be guided towards its splendour.
I walked over a wall next to the beach to get a better view of this lighthouse. As I got closer, the focus was different, the clouds danced around it and the whole set posed for me.
There was a beautiful harmony between human construction and nature.
As I got closer the composition was changing, it was already imposing, beautiful, firm and crowning a road.
The clouds adorned it and I was able to take some shots in which they seemed to detach themselves from the lamppost. It was like thick white smoke contrasting with the bright blue sky.
It was an ideal day, the clouds looked like cotton flakes specially placed on the spot like the scenery of a theatre.
Like the chimney of an old ship, these flakes emerge from the top of the lighthouse, as if it were illuminating at night, but in the daytime it paints the clouds in the sky.
I looked for angles where just the brightest part of the cloud was at the highest point of the lighthouse, I think I got it. I wanted it to be as magical as possible.
Lighthouses have that magic, they generate stories, they are a starting point and a guide. You feel a special attraction to them.
I was very happy with the result of the shots. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.
Best wishes to everyone in the community and see you next time.
Amonet.
