At the beginning of summer, any swamp looks very solemn. It starts a new life. Young foliage and grass are gaining new strength. That which should produce berries begins to bloom stubbornly. After the spring melt waters, the swamp is still damp.
There is a lot of melt water in the lake. In the summer it becomes a little shallower. True, the swamp itself will feed it with its waters, but now there is more water.
We lower our gaze under our feet. Let's get closer to this flowering carpet and consider the patterns that adorn it.
The most fragrant is undoubtedly the flowering wild rosemary. His dope can make your head spin. In places where there is a lot of wild rosemary, it can create the illusion of snow. But this time I did not reach such places. The swamp is too damp for my short boots.
Where it is a little drier, we can find pine cones. The swamp pines don't grow too big. But they also try to multiply and continue life in new generations.
This is how lingonberries bloom.
And these are cranberry flowers. When berries are poured instead of flowers, they will lie under their weight on soft moss. Some will drown in moss. But that will only be at the end of the summer.
In front of you is a sundew. This beautiful plant is a hunter for small insects. Now there are still few insects and I have not seen the process of hunting. But as soon as some fly or mosquito sits on this beautiful saucer, the cilia begin to close and dinner is ready.
You can wander around the swamp for a long time and consider different details. The main thing is to be careful. There are deceptive areas in the swamps, stepping on which you can fall deep into the moss and water.
