How do you see this world? It has a beautiful facade that is suitable for glossy magazine covers. This facade is also real, but that's not all there is in this world. What is hidden behind the glossy facade?
Looking at tourist guides, you will never see in them the slums in which poor citizens live. You won't find city cemeteries and grey courtyards. Tourists are not recommended to go there. There are whole areas of cities that are even dangerous to visit.
Fortunately, there are no such zones and places in St. Petersburg. You can walk anywhere and at any time of the day. Of course, you have to be more careful at night, but it's the same everywhere. Night is night.
I'll show you some courtyards of the Old Town. Not because it's dangerous there or they look bad. They look great on me. The spirit of the times lives in them.
These courtyards have a peculiar architecture and geometry. They are difficult to confuse with the courtyards of other cities.
I'm showing them to you because you're unlikely to get there yourself. I like to go into them and slowly wander between high walls, some of which do not have a single window. They are all different, but in some ways similar to each other. And here I feel life. The life of ordinary people, their own life.
