The place of our today's walk will be the Lieutenant Schmitt embankment. It was here that we eventually came out after a walk along the 5-7 Lines of Vasilyevsky Island. I like the old narrow streets, but no less I love the wide open spaces and the waters of the Neva.
This is the legendary icebreaker "Krasin". On its flagpole you can see the flag with the coat of arms of St. Petersburg. Now this icebreaker is used as a floating museum.
On this wide staircase you can go down closer to the water. And here, too, there is something to see.
In some places, steps go straight into the water of the Neva.
This submarine is also a museum. You can go down inside and feel like a real sailor.
Opposite this place is the pier of the shipyard. If you look closely, you can see another submarine. This is not a "yellow submarine". She is a real fighting machine and is being upgraded.
And this is the facade of the Mining Institute. It did not fit in one frame and I had to take 7 frames and then stitch them together in the editor.
A cool wind was blowing on the embankment near the water, we walked there for a long time and decided to return back away from the water. But it's still the same waterfront.
And at the end of the post, I will show you another museum. This is the museum of Roerich, a famous orientalist, artist, author of many books on philosophy. This sign on the grid is related to him.
