The garden I want to show you is named after this man. Not far from this place is the Yusupov Palace, but today we will not go there. We are interested in this marvelous garden. For the central part of the city, this is a great find for every city dweller.
To get to this garden, I had to go through the whole city by car, I do not live in the center. But even a trip around the city brought a lot of pleasure. Excellent sunny weather and festive attire of the streets create a special high spirits.
Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt is unusually free for travel and it ends with a bridge.
This is Troitsky Bridge, and then the beginning of Sadovaya Street with Mikhailovsky Castle. But it is the Yusupov Garden that interests us.
And here is the garden itself. We just got in. People, pigeons, water, trees and the Transport Institute on the horizon, welcome to the garden.
I won’t say that there are a lot of people here and it makes me happy (to be honest). It’s still not so warm and a fresh breeze is blowing, but it’s definitely not cold anymore. The earth has not yet warmed up, the leaves have not fully blossomed, there are no flowers at all yet ... but this does not interfere with a good spring festive mood. People are resting.
This pond has three islands, but only one of them can be reached by a bridge. And we'll be on it for a bit.
They say that you can look at water and fire endlessly. Apparently so it is.
And that island is "uninhabited". However, the ban does not apply to birds.
We didn't sit down on the grass, although it's probably great. We just didn't have a thermos of tea and sandwiches with us. 🤣 😂😅
And a small panorama at parting. I sewed it from 7 vertical photos.
To imagine the real picture and space... imagine that the left side of the photo is on your left and you need to turn your head to the left. In this case, to see the right side of the picture, you have to turn your head to the right. Then the panorama will unfold at full power.
