We are in Ziro, a small town in Arunachal Pradesh, east India.
I have already published a black&white series about this woman (@barnabo73/apatani-woman-at-work-ziro), now I will show you other different pictures of the same scene, but in color.
As I said in previous post, this woman is an apatani, a member of a local tribe known for pieces of wood in the nose. These people are the last ones following this tradition, so this habit will be lost forever, before or less.
She was collecting and washing some salad from her garden.
I love the care and the strengths of this people, linked to a life out of the frenzy of our 'modern' world.
She has many activities to do, she owns almost nothing, and she never gets bored. We have all, and we want even and even more. In modern life we can't enjoy the feeling to be alive, in general we are in a cultural prison where we have to consume to keep the economy going on, and we are disconnect from the root of our life and tradition, and we feel the nature like something external to us, but we are nature too!
