I took these pictures in Longwa Wasa village, Nagaland region, India, in 2020. Longwa Wasa is a small village on mountains in north-east of India, near the Myanmar border.
I have already published some posts about Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. In this post we shooted pics to all the member of a big family.
Old people here have a big value, they are wise people and they also has an historical value: they take the memory of old village memories and traditions, that are getting lost.
I was impressed by the wrinkles on the face of first woman. An entire life on her skin. Also, I really can't imagine her age... In this region the skin gets ruined soon by sun and open air life.
Near the old woman in the first pic, all sit around the wooden house, another two old member of the family. It seems to me they were a little sick: the (black&white) women stayed all the time watching the ground, she talked with us only one time, and she had a very sad face.
Here the all family. This town is located in India but somatic traits are like Myanmar people. Good and gentle people. Some children were a little scared by us (here European people are very rare), but they interacted with us also with joy and curiosity.
They take care of their aspect, with beautiful earrings, typical necklaces and colorful scarves.
Pictures taken with Sony Alpha7iii, 24-70 F2.8 lens.
