F15
There are two USAF(E) F15 Strike Eagle squadrons based at RAF Lakenheath in the UK - 492nd Fighter Squadron and 494th Fighter Squadron (there are also two squadrons of F35s Lightning). The "F denotes that the aircraft is a fighter. Other prefixes include (but not limited to) B for Bomber, C for Cargo, etc.

I live in Lincolnshire, and there are a couple of RAF bases within easy travelling distance. I've only been to Lakenheath once, although I'm hoping to remedy that on my next leave in a couple of weeks. That's assuming that I am over Covid which I came down with yesterday. It's just over a couple of hours drive which I guess for some folk in some countries is classed as a local visit, though for me, its a boring waste of fours hours of my life.

In spite of the amount of time driving, it's still worth a trip down there. It seems to be a very busy airbase. Aircraft coming and going pretty much all day. And jets we don't usually see up in Lincolnshire.

But for now, I'll have to make do with these shots (I took around 1000 shots on my last visit, and not sure I've viewed them all yet). I just hope for slightly better skies on my next visit. February was grey and drab, and I was hoping to visit during the summer, but just couldn't seem to get it sorted. So hopefully late October will be ok.
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
