"Get in the ring"
My good mate had previously worked with Fran and as soon as I saw his shots, thought that she was somebody I would really like to work with. Rich got a day sorted out at a mutual friend's studio. First impression was how small she is in "real life". She looks so tall in all the shots I've seen of her (and no, it's not just the skyscraper high heels she wears - she just seems quite imposing).
"One in a million"
I think a lot of it is because she really is an "in your face" model. Not shy, Very confident and super friendly. Even before I started shooting, it was like we had known each other for so long. And, in my opinion, that comes across in most shots I have seen of her. She really is larger than life.
"Don't Damn Me"
We did a couple of sets (there were two other photographers - Rich and studio owner Emrys) so she was at it for around five hours in total, with at least as many outfit changes. And she was still as fresh and ebullient at the end of the shoot (at least at the point I keft) as she was when she first arrived at the studio.
"Ain't it fun"
I didn't really get the shots I had planned (that happens so many times) but at least I came away with some images that I was happy with, and seemingly so is Fran. So I class that as a result. And we're already planning shoot #2 So who knows...
You may have guessed, for some bizarre reason, not even known to myself, I decided to title each of the images with a track by.... (answers on a postcard - or alternatively pop it in the comments below. No Googling!).
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
