Safety features
Last Sunday, the Lancaster, along with a Spitfire and Hurricane was due to perform a flypast over Lincoln. Thinking I was being extremely clever I thought of driving over to a local multi storey car park and hopefully capture the action from this vantage point.

As time went on, and nothing appeared I started checking the flight apps and Facebook for updates. I was gutted to see that the Lanc was having issues and so would not be flying. So disappointed, but having already forked out for a couple of hours of parking I thought I would stay a while longer and catch the Spitfire and Hurricane.
In or out - you choose
There was no other patrons on the top level of the car park, so after a while sitting in the car I thought I would walk around, get my daily steps in and get some shots of the car park. Something totally different for me.

I kept checking the flight apps and Facebook groups and eventually the fighters went up, although they didn't appear on the apps. I had to "guesstimate" when they would be over Lincoln. After around 10 minutes I heard that familiar roar and got my camera ready.
Just one aircraft appeared and it was so far away the images pretty much show a speck in the distance. It circled miles away and then flew away. Two poor aircrafts pis, not worth posting, two hours wasted. But some odd shots. There is always a bright side, no matter how little that brightness shines.
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
